“Around the World” Week is in Full Swing!

We are excited to have lots of day campers this week as we learn about and celebrate other cultures! On Monday, we started learning about Mexico. We learned about the traditional “Ojo de Dios” craft and how to make it. We also baked tortilla chips, played some fun themed games, and made a pinata!

One of our campers works on his "helping hand" pinata.

Today, Tuesday, we learned about India. We talked about the Holi Festival – the Festival of Colors. Afterwards, we proceeded to have our own festival of colors with a great game of paint tag.  Campers also learned about the historic spice trade in India, made their own trail mix, and learned games that children play in India.

Check out the pictures from today, and get pumped for a great surprise tomorrow!

Getting more paint.
